Travel guidlines Al Hussein Mosque

Hey, my fellow explorers! 

Your intrepid blogger is currently nestled in Alor Setar, the land of rice fields and charming vibes, but my heart (and GPS) are set on Kuala Perlis! Why? Because, duh, the Al Hussain Mosque, that architectural marvel that looks like it's auditioning for a "Floating Buildings" reality show!

The journey from Alor Setar is a mere 55 minutes, according to my digital travel oracle (aka, Google Maps). But, knowing me, I'll probably add an extra hour for impromptu pit stops at roadside stalls. Especially if I spot a durian stand. Resistance is futile!

 

We're cruising along Jalan Kangar - Alor Setar/Route 7, which sounds like a road with a story. I'm picturing rolling hills, maybe a few water buffalo chilling in the fields, and definitely some epic sing-alongs.

Road trips require fuel, and I'm not talking about petrol! I've packed a strategic snack arsenal: local kuih, some spicy chips (because why not?), and a secret stash of chocolate for "emotional support."

Since the mosque is floating, I am assuming there will be seagulls. I am bringing extra snacks for them, to try to make friends. I am also bringing a hat, to protect from any aerial attacks.

My travel wardrobe is getting a modesty makeover! Think flowy fabrics, covered shoulders, and maybe a stylish headscarf. I'm aiming for "respectful traveler with a touch of flair."

I'm channeling my inner ninja, moving with grace and silence during prayer times. No loud chatter or disruptive selfies!

I'm ready to capture the mosque's beauty, but I'll be mindful of the people around me. No intrusive shots of people praying!

Shoes off! I'm embracing the barefoot experience and connecting with the mosque on a deeper level.

Floating mosque, breathtaking sunset, serene atmosphere... and maybe a few seagulls trying to steal my snacks!
