Travel Guidline Street Art

Welcome back to our blog peeps! In this blog, we want to share about travel guideline to Street Art, Kangar. If you’re looking for an adventure that combines train rides, vibrant murals, and a good dose of laughter, then buckle up (or rather, sit tight) for this comical journey from KTM Alor Setar to Kangar Street Art. Spoiler alert: it involves selfies, fashion crises, and a lot of colorful walls.

Once the train arrived, it was a mad dash for the best seats. There’s an unspoken rule about train rides: window seats are prime real estate. After some strategic maneuvering (and maybe a little elbow action), I secured my spot. Pro tip: always sit by the window so you can dramatically stare out while pretending to be in a music video. Bonus points if it’s raining.

Arriving at KTM Arau felt like entering a royal town, which it technically is. I half expected a welcoming committee complete with royal trumpets, but alas, it was just me, my backpack, and a slightly sleepy station guard. If you want to make a grand entrance, I recommend walking out with an imaginary crown on your head

Next on the agenda: getting to Kangar Street Art. The easiest way? Grab, of course! A 20-minute ride was all it took, and our driver was a local with an impressive knowledge of Perlis history (or a really active imagination).

As we arrived at Kangar Street Art, I was hit with a burst of color that could wake up the sleepiest of souls. Every wall was alive with vibrant murals depicting local legends, cultural stories, and playful humor. It was like stepping into a comic book—but one where you’re the main character.

I quickly realized that my outfit was…well, let’s just say the murals were doing all the fashion work. If you’re planning a visit, here’s a tip: Coordinate your attire! Bright colors work best. Think reds, yellows, and blues—something that’ll pop against the vibrant backgrounds. I was in a dull grey shirt, which made me look like an accidental prop in a minimalist painting. Lesson learned.

also suggest comfortable shoes. You’ll be doing a lot of walking, posing, and possibly awkward lunges as you attempt to “hold up” a painted building. Sneakers are your best friend here—unless you’re brave enough to rock heels on cobblestones, in which case, I salute you.

When’s the best time to visit? Late morning or early evening. Why? Because that’s when the lighting is just right for photos. Go too early, and you’ll be squinting in every shot. Go too late, and you’ll end up with shadow selfies (unless you’re going for a mysterious, artsy vibe). We arrived mid-afternoon and quickly learned that the sun in Perlis doesn’t mess around. Half my photos feature me sweating like I just ran a marathon.
